Where We Might Begin...
Individual Art Therapy
One-on-one sessions offer a confidential, compassionate space to explore emotions, process difficult experiences, and discover new pathways toward healing through the creative process, not despite it.
Sessions are 60 or 75 minutes and take place in person at the studio in Pemberton. All art materials are provided. No art experience is necessary. What matters is your willingness to explore.
Individual sessions are $160 (regular 60 minutes) or $200 (extended 75 minutes).
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those for whom the full rate is a barrier. Please don't hesitate to ask as financial circumstances shouldn't have to stand in the way of accessing support.
As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), my services may be covered under your extended health insurance plan. I'm happy to provide a receipt for reimbursement. Please check with your provider for details.

I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way — things I had no words for.

Group Art Therapy
These are small, supportive groups where creativity and community come together. Creating alongside others can foster connection, reduce isolation, and offer a gentle reminder that we are not alone in what we carry.
Groups are usually themed and run in a series. Current themes in development include Grief & Loss, and Mindfulness Through Art. Sessions are usually around 2 hours in length, with art materials provided.
Groups are currently forming for Fall and Winter 2026/2027. Please inquire for upcoming dates and pricing (if applicable - some groups are generously supported through various community organizations).
Curious what this looks like in practice? This work was covered by Pique Newsmagazine in December 2025, and you can read the article here: 'Messy feelings can make for messy art' .

Art Lessons & Workshops
Separate from art therapy, these sessions are open to anyone who wants to explore creativity, develop new skills, or simply enjoy the process of making art. All ages welcome, no experience needed. Sessions explore a range of media including acrylic and oil paint, oil pastels, watercolour, printmaking, collage, and mixed media.
Available as private lessons or as small group workshops, they are offered in person at the studio.
For high school students preparing art school applications, portfolio development sessions are also available, where we draw on nearly 25 years of professional art education experience to help students build a cohesive, compelling body of work.
Inquiries regarding art lessons and workshops are welcome anytime! Feel free to fill out the Art Lessons Inquiry Form and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Great art must be a living thing, or it is not art at all.

Art Therapy — What to Expect
Reaching out can be the hardest part. Here's what happens next, so there are no surprises.
1. Free Consultation — A brief phone or video call to talk about what's bringing you to River Run, answer any questions, and see if it feels like a good fit. No commitment, no pressure.
2. First Session — This time is for me to get a sense of you and what's brought you here, at whatever pace feels comfortable; there's no expectation to dive into anything difficult right away as this is about building trust and comfort with the space and the process.
3. Ongoing Sessions — Together we'll find a rhythm that works for you, whether that's weekly, biweekly, or as needed.
