Here's What You Might Be Wondering...

Some Things Worth Knowing

How We Work Together

Transparency and trust are at the heart of everything we do at River Run Art Studio.  Before we begin working together, I want you to feel fully informed — not overwhelmed by the fine print, but genuinely clear about how this space works and what you can expect from me as your practitioner.  The following outlines some of the key agreements that help keep our work together safe, ethical, and grounded in mutual respect.  All policies are fully made available to River Run Art Studio clients and are discussed and reviewed regularly.

Confidentiality

Everything shared within our sessions is held in complete confidence.  What happens in the studio stays in the studio.

There are a small number of legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality that I am required to follow as a regulated practitioner including situations where there is risk of harm to yourself or others, or where records are subpoenaed by a court.  These exceptions will be explained clearly in your intake documentation, and I am always happy to answer any questions about them.

Cancellation & Late Arrivals

I ask for a minimum of 24 Hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.  This allows me to offer the time to another client who may be waiting.

Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may be subject to the cost of the full session booked.  This fee is not intended as a punishment, but rather it simply reflects the reality of holding time and space for each person I work with.

If you are running late, please reach out and I will always do my best to accommodate.  I understand that life happens, and I will always work with you wherever I can.

Fees & Payment

Individual art therapy sessions are $160 (standard 60 minutes) or $200 (extended 75 minutes) per session. Payment is due at the time of the session and is often made through credit card on the Jane App; however, other forms of payment are also accepted.  Please see below.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those for whom the full rate presents a barrier. Please don't hesitate to reach out as financial circumstances shouldn't have to stand in the way of accessing support.

As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), my services may be covered under many extended health insurance plans.  I am happy to provide a receipt for reimbursement, so please check with your provider to confirm your coverage and a receipt will always be provided to present for reimbursement.

Accepted payment methods include: Credit Card, E-Transfer, Cheque, Cash

Social Media & Dual Relationships

Pemberton is a small, beautifully connected community, and I'm very much a part of it.  You may see me at the farmer's market, on the trail, or at the grocery store, and I'll always follow your lead in those moments.  If you'd rather I not acknowledge you in public, just let me know and I'll respect that without question.

To protect your privacy and to keep clear professional boundaries, I don't accept friend or follow requests from current or former clients on personal social media.  River Run does have a professional Instagram and Facebook, which you're welcome to follow; these share art lessons, workshop updates, and general well-being content, and aren't part of our therapeutic work.  Just keep in mind that following or interacting on public platforms may make your connection to River Run visible to others in your network which is worth keeping in mind if privacy matters to you.

Questions about how I navigate dual relationships in a small community?  Always happy to talk it through.

River Run Art Studio is not a crisis service.  If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please reach out to one of the following resources immediately:

Still Have Questions?

I know that reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step and that having the right information helps.  If there's anything you'd like to know that isn't answered here, please don't hesitate to get in touch.  There are no silly questions and there's no obligation to book.

I would love to hear from you.
